TOLEDO, Ohio — An English teacher with more than 20 years of experience has resigned from her job in a Northwest Ohio school district after officials learned she was posting sexual content on accounts with OnlyFans and Fansly, reports say.

Jennifer Ruziscka, 50, who worked in the Springfield Local School District, resigned on Jan. 29, WTOL Channel 11 reports. Her resignation came on the same day that the district told her that she was being place on administrative leave during its investigation into the accounts, WTVG Channel 13 reports.

In a statement to WTOL, Ruziscka defended her record as a teacher, referencing William Shakespeare’s “Romeo and Juliet.”

“... As Juliet laments Romeo being a Montague, the only son of her family’s great enemy, she recognizes, ‘A rose by any other name would smell as sweet,’” Ruziscka says in the statement. “Likewise, people can label me anything they want to; however, it doesn’t change the commendable level of dedication and exemplary work ethic I execute as an educator.

On Feb. 2, Superintendent Matt Geha submitted a report to the Ohio State Board of Education Office of Professional Conduct saying that in late January district officials became aware that Ruziscka was “operating a pornographic/sexually graphic website,” WTOL reports.

According to WTOL, the district said Ruziscka’s accounts had multiple images of her in lingerie and said subscribers could see her perform sexual acts.

“Regardless of what I do in my private life for the sake of keeping a roof over my family’s head and a car parked in the garage, I remain one of the greatest English teachers ever to serve in the Springfield Local School District,” Ruziscka says in her statement to WTOL.

She also released a statement to WTVG saying she did not want to explain why she was involved with the accounts, saying “it would come at the cost of ruining the reputation of someone else.”

“Enough damage has been done and I am not comfortable bringing unwanted attention to anyone else and causing that individual to pay for it,” she says in the statement. “In Harper Lee’s novel ‘To Kill a Mockingbird,’ Atticus Finch explains to his daughter, Scout, that ‘you never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view … Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it.’ As I have always been one who stands in the shoes of others, I hope others will now stand in mine.”
