TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - A Toledo man facing charges after police say he allegedly shot another man in the parking lot of Southgate Woods Apartments in February.

Toledo Police say on Feb. 24, they were alerted to a walk-in gunshot wound at an area hospital. The 21-year-old man was suffering from a single gunshot wound to his left thigh.

Officers attempted to get information from the victim who police say got very agitated and refused to talk. Two others who drove the victim to the hospital provided officers with similar accounts of an alleged fight that took place in the parking lot of Southgate Woods Apartments.

TPD says a crew was sent out to the apartments to see if they could locate a scene but when they arrived they found nothing.

Nearly a month later, on March 21, Andre Snipes, 22, of Toledo was charged with Felonious Assault, a second-degree felony.

Snipes appeared in court on March 28 where a judge set his bond at $100,000 at no percent. He was also ordered to have no contact with the victim.

Snipes is scheduled to appear back in court on April 5 at 9 a.m. for a preliminary hearing.
