The motorcyclist was seriously injured and a passenger was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. Both were later flown to Grant Medical Center. The Ohio State Highway Patrol reported that the driver hit the deer, causing his motorcycle to fall onto its side and land.

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Two people were flown to a hospital with serious injuries after a motorcycle crash involving a deer in Marion County early Saturday morning.
According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the crash happened on state Route 37 around 12:15 a.m. The driver of a Harley Davidson FLHTKL Ultra Limited Low was traveling northbound on the road when a deer entered the road, a preliminary investigation indicated.
The driver hit the deer, causing the motorcycle to land on its side, OSHP says.
The motorcyclist was taken to Marion General Hospital with serious injuries and a passenger was taken with life-threatening injuries. Both were later flown to Grant Medical Center.
