NWS says 'confirmed tornado' strikes Knox County

The National Weather Service confirmed a confirmed tornado over Gambier or near Mount Vernon in Knox County, Ohio, at 9:25 p.m. It was moving east at 20 mph. The county emergency management agency reported possible damage to an outbuilding on Possum Street and a possible tornado. Severe weather conditions left several counties under Tornado Warnings in several counties. The National Weather Services is expected to survey damage in several areas on Thursday.

The National Weather Service said a "confirmed tornado was located over Gambier, or near Mount Vernon," at 9:25 p.m., moving east at 20 miles per hour.
That tornado was confirmed by a weather spotter.
A report from the county emergency management agency noted possible damage to an outbuilding on Possum Street and a possible tornado.
Severe weather ripped through Central Ohio on Wednesday evening, leaving several counties under Tornado Warnings in several counties. The slow-moving system dumped large amounts of rain in some areas. The National Weather Service is expected to be out surveying damage in several areas Thursday.
