Seneca County man sentenced following 2025 rape investigation
Tyler Hossler has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for rape and attempted rape involving multiple victims, according to the Seneca County Prosecutor's Office. Tyler Hossler, a 30-year-old man from Seneca County, has been sentenced to 10 years in prison for rape and attempted rape involving multiple victims. Hosslers was found guilty of rape, sexual battery and attempted rapes, and pleaded guilty to a second count of attempted rape before sentencing. He was sentenced to a mandatory seven years in jail for rape, three years for the first attempted rape conviction, and an additional three-year sentence for the second attempted rape. Hissler will serve a total of 10 years and will be required to register as a Tier III sex offender for the rest of his life. Following the sentencing, Seneca Co. Prosecutor Derek DeVine commended the head detective on the investigation for her work.
